We're thinking of selling advertising space on James's bald spot on the back of his head. Could picture a Nike swoosh or maybe the Audi rings on there... will help pay for all the diapers :)

Hello from the underground
James went for his first ride on the tube last week... funny picture below (note the tiny little hand just barely appearing from inside the stroller to prove that he's in there).
Just put some new ones up on Flickr as well. We've had wonderful visits from the Bremer grandparents and James's godmother and are getting ready for our first plane flight across the Atlantic this Friday. Wish us luck!

Little man in grown up clothes
We put James in an actual "grown up" outfit this weekend... it was pretty funny. He looks a little like a farmer. And he got his second round of immunizations today. After an initial blood curdling yell (which is the saddest thing ever) he recovered very quickly. He's also growing like a weed, weighing in at 12.5 pounds!

Fresh fish!
There were a couple guys from a fish monger in Newcastle going door to door in Hampstead today selling fresh fish. They had almost any kind you could imagine... cod, halibut, john dory, sea bass, salmon, sole, haddock. For those of you who have been in the grocery stores around me, you would understand that this was an offer I couldn't refuse. The catch (no pun intended) is that the smallest amount you can buy is 7.5 kilos (or 16.5 lbs). So I stocked up on 5 kgs of wild salmon (caught yesterday) and 2.5 kgs of lemon sole. Our freezer is now full of some yummy looking fish, which the guy said would stay good for six months. And when he was carrying the salmon from the truck to our house, some lady walked by saw how good it looked and bought 20 kgs on the spot... 580 pounds worth!

Recipe
As you may know, I am a HUGE fan of casseroles, so I make them all the time. This is one of Ric's favorites and it's really quick/easy to put together, so I wanted to share the recipe. Enjoy!

Acid reflux... not just for old men
James (and by extension Ric and I) has had a difficult week... he's been crying almost non stop, not eating well and not sleeping very much. I finally took him into the doctor today to see if there was something wrong or if it is just a case of "normal" baby crying. We went to the private pediatrician who saw James at the Portland Hospital when he was born. I like him a lot... he was able to see James right away and gave him a full check up. Everything (weight, hearing, heart, etc) looks good, but he thinks that the babe has acid reflux, which would explain the crying and not eating well and the huge amount he throws up (it's really pretty amazing). So we're starting him on Zantac tonight, which should help right away. Please keep fingers and toes crossed that this does the trick.
Otherwise you might be able to hear both James and I crying in all four corners of the globe :)
